Matthew Quigley (Tom Selleck) is an 19th century American sharpshooter who travel's to Australia as he is summoned by a wealthy land owner. After saving a prostitute from a gang of thug's, who it turn's out were hired by the landowner and fall's further foul of the landowner by refusing to kill Aborigines. Quigly is abandoned and left to die in the Australian wilderness.
