In what can controversially be described as a perfect sequel, D2: The Mighty Ducks is a bigger and shinier version of the well-received original. After their success in the Minnesota pee-wee league, the Ducks go on hiatus as their coach, Gordon Bombay, tries to get back into the sport he loves. After tearing it up in the minor leagues, Bombay is almost back to the promised land, but a major leg injury sidelines him for good. Without direction, he seeks the advice of Jan, Hans older brother. After picking himself back up, he is offered the opportunity to coach Team USA at the Junior Goodwill Games. Accpeting the challenge, Coach Bombay gets the crew back together and adds some of the best talent from across the country.
