Tom Kane (Kelsey Grammer), the Mayor of Chicago has recently been diagnosed with dementia. However, Kane is determined to remain in power no matter what the cost and conceals his illness to all those closest to him with the exception of his physician Dr. Ella Harris (Karen Aldridge). With his marriage to his wife Meredith (Connie Nielsen) purely one of convenience and those around him too busy with their own political ambitions, Kane seems to have it under wraps. But it isn't long until questions begin to be raised.
